At its best, music transcends boundaries. Artists blend genres and styles with innovation and personality to create something distinctive and new. This has been accomplished by Richard Murray on Desert Wind.
Richard, a native of Northern Ireland, began learning piano at age 8 and has since mastered several instruments. He “...knows above all how to score points with his incredible dulcet flowing voice... but also plays excellent acoustic and electric guitar as well as mandolin.”(1) He spent the early part of his musical career playing in punk and rock bands as a drummer and guitarist before moving to England to complete his music degree. After college he spent time living and working in the US before returning to Ireland to begin his post-grad studies and playing bass with the Irish showbands. Richard earned his spurs gigging and touring with these bands and other rock/tribute acts before relocating to London in 2005 where his work as a full-time session musician has l
